allweek is a church community app with a Bible reader. This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.
The short version: we don't sell your data, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking. Your Bible notes and highlights stay on your phone. Community content is visible only to approved members of your congregation.
1. Information you give us
Account - Email address and password. The password is stored only as a secure hash. - Display name. - Confirmation that you are 13 or older.
Congregation membership - Which congregation you joined, through an invite. - Your role (member, moderator or admin) and your status (pending, active or banned).
Content you post - Posts, comments and reactions. - Direct messages. - Meetups you create or join: title, description, schedule, and a free-text location.
Directory listing (optional, off by default) - Only what you choose to share: phone number, email and a short bio. - You can unlist yourself or clear any field at any time.
Profile photo (optional) - A photo you take or choose, cropped and compressed on your device before upload.
Reports and blocks - Reports you file, including your reason. - Members you block.
2. Information that stays on your device
These are stored only on your phone and are never sent to us: - Highlights, notes and tags. - Reading position. - Reader, voice and speed settings. - Your In His Words conversation history.
Text-to-speech uses your phone's built-in voices.
3. AI features (Study chat and In His Words)
- When you ask a question, the text is sent to a server we operate and answered by an AI model running on that server.
- We don't send your questions to any third-party AI company.
- We don't keep a log of your questions or the answers.
- Messages that indicate someone may be in crisis receive crisis resources, such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
- AI answers can be wrong. They are not pastoral, medical or professional advice.
4. Who can see what
- Your congregation only. Posts, comments, reactions, meetups and member names are visible only to approved members of the same congregation. Nothing is public on the internet.
- Direct messages. Visible only to the two participants.
- Moderators and admins cannot read your messages.
- If a message is reported, moderators see a copy of that one message so they can review it.
- Directory. Your contact details are visible to other members only if you list yourself, and only the fields you filled in.
- A member you have blocked cannot see your listing.
- Meetup rosters. Visible to members by default. You can hide yourself from any meetup's roster.
- Moderators and admins of your congregation can:
- see reports and the reported content
- remove content and profile photos
- ban members
- approve new members
5. How we use information
We use your information only to run the app: - signing you in - showing your congregation's content - delivering messages - moderation and safety - keeping the service secure
We don't use it for advertising or profiling, and we don't sell or rent it to anyone.
6. Where data is stored
- Community data is stored on a server we operate in the United States.
- It is reached over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection through Cloudflare, which carries the traffic but does not use its contents.
- Encrypted nightly backups are kept with Cloudflare R2 storage. Each backup is automatically deleted after 14 days.
7. Moderation records
When content is reported, we save a copy (a "snapshot") of it with the report. The snapshot is kept even if the content is later removed or the author deletes their account, so moderators have a record of what was reviewed and why.
8. Deleting your account and data
Delete your account in the app: Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes: - your account and membership - your posts and comments - your directory listing and profile photo - every direct-message conversation you were part of. This removes the conversation for the other person too.
Report snapshots (section 7) are kept.
Deleted data is removed from backups as they expire, within 14 days.
Deleting the app removes everything stored only on your device (section 2).
You can also email support@allweekchurch.com to request deletion or a copy of your data.
9. Children
- allweek is for people 13 and older.
- We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
- If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes, we'll also notify you in the app.
